About us
Our research team investigates the sequence–structure relationships of proteins that bind metal ions, with a particular focus on zinc(II) and copper(II). We study these interactions across different levels of complexity—from simplified peptide models to cellular systems—to better understand how metal coordination influences protein structure and function. Our work bridges molecular biochemistry and cell biology, contributing to the broader understanding of metalloproteins in health and disease.
